Lesson #2: Using the bee flying model below as an example, you (as a small group) are going to create your own way of remembering what a preposition is and how it is used. Your "poster" must include the following:
- a simple sentence with a prepositional phrase into which many prepositions can be placed (ex. The rabbit jumped __________ the hat.)
- a visual depicting the sentence
- examples of at least 10 different prepositions that can be used in your sentence--use as many as you can that actually work with your sentence
- print that is neat and large enough to be read if posted on the wall

Lesson #3: Copy the model sentences below into your Grammar notes section. Which of these underlined words are actually functioning as prepositions? (Hint: they must be part of a PREPOSITIONAL PHRASE in order to be real prepositions)
I ran around the house in my pajamas.

Lesson #5: For today's lesson, you have a writing task to complete. First, think of a simple activity you could teach someone to do. Then, in your grammar notes, compose a short paragraph to provide your reader with detailed step-by-step directions of how to do this activity. Your paragraph should have at least 5 prepositional phrases underlined. You will be sharing this with a partner when you're finished.
Lesson #6: Copy the following model sentence into your grammar notes. Today we will discuss how prepositional phrases work as modifiers in sentences. We will practice using descriptive writing on our writing field trip today.
After dinner, I ran to the ice cream shop across the street with my friend from school.
Note the prepositional phrases we have here. If I swap them out with others, what in the sentence really changes?
