__X__ Select a novel that will touch on topics of interest to you--these topics should be "researchable"
__X__ Complete annotations as you read your book on the annotation chart handed out in class
__X__ Conduct research with the goal of deepening your understanding of the topics you've selected and the context of the novel
__X__ Organize an essay that includes information from your novel and from your research
__X__ Draft the body of your essay (at least 3 paragraphs, 4 total sources, and 3 direct quotations)
__X__ Draft your introduction
__X__ Draft your conclusion
_____ Type a complete draft of your essay in Google docs
_____ Create a Works Cited page (if indentations are a problem, you may do this in Pages)
_____ Revise and edit your essay, including work in your small group
