- response has 3 paragraphs--an introduction, a large body paragraph, and a conclusion
- introduction includes a brief summary of the play's events and a clear thesis (last sentence of intro)
- body includes at least 3 specific examples from the play and at least 1 quotation with a citation (act, scene, lines).
- conclusion connects your argument to a "bigger picture"--it answers the "So what?" question
- you've used your BEST academic writing skills including appropriate spelling, punctuation, transitions, word choice, and sentence structure.
- the entire essay is free of run-on and fragment errors
