Today we will begin work on our own lit. analysis essays. Our warm up activity will be a brief discussion of common traits in lit. analysis, including literary present tense and avoiding personal pronouns.
The first thing you will need to do is decide on your thesis. You may use one of the 6 prompts we've already seen, or you may create a thesis of your own making (show me when its finished before you move on). Then, using the assignment sheet and outline page, you may begin brainstorming claims and evidence to support your thesis.
If you do not complete your concept map in class today (complete with all pieces of evidence AND explanations), this will be homework.
